These are fun to make. Start to polished finished, I can complete 3-5 pens in an afternoon. Typically, using the same hardware and lathe equipment.
I’ve been making these for many years and they make fabulous gifts.
The wood or acrylic supply change from year to year. Some are just solid wood, and others are laminated with diffiferent colours and woods. Some “blanks” have impregnated resin (plastic) into open core burl and these are very sweet! I’ve also made some pens from acrylic blanks too.
